What Your Child Will Learn Through ISR Lessons:
AGES 6 MONTHS - 1 YEAR:
Children in this age range will learn to hold their breath underwater, roll onto their backs, and float unassisted. They will also be taught to rest and breathe while floating until help arrives. Students learn to perform these ISR Self-Rescue skills first in a swim diaper, then while fully clothed.
*The "Rollback to Float" sequence takes an average of 4-6 weeks for children to learn. After this period, we may encourage additional training for your child based on their individual learning needs and progress.

Refresher lessons: Refresher lessons are extremely important in continuing and maintaining your child’s ISR Self-Rescue skill development. Upon completion of their lesson, every child should take a short 2-3 week refresher class every 4 months to a year. Children grow and develop rapidly from infants to toddlers and young children. This development process represents improved strength, coordination, and a more finely tuned cognitive ability.
Maintenance Lesson: Maintenance lessons are also available at any time for regular fine-tuning of your child's skills. These lessons are highly recommended. Maintenance lessons can be once a week, once a month or whatever suits your schedule.
